Resilient Livelihood for Communities
in Koshi and Ganga Flood Plains

MDSSS implements “Resilient livelihood for communities in Koshi and Ganga flood plains” program in 10 villages of Kishanpur block of Supaul District.
The program aims at the implementation of disaster risk reduction measures in the project area across the agriculture and related sectors in line with the Hyogo Framework for Action with regard to its five priority areas.
The program focuses on an inter-disciplinary and programmatic approach methodology towards disaster risk reduction, to promote food and livelihood security to the community members.
An integrated and convergence method was adopted by integrating agriculture, livestock, fisheries, forestry and natural resource management sectors to facilitate effective diverse livelihoods to small scale farmers and community members.
